I went on a 10 day West Texas Plein Air Painting Excursion in January 2021. I discovered this location during last year's excursion and looked forward to painting it all year. This was painted over several days, some heavy cold and windy days, and finished at the end of the my last day as the sun was going down. The temperature dropped and the wind picked up, it was a fitting finale to the trip. One of the owner's relatives stopped by to chat as I was trying to make sure I had completed my checklist. As the light was dwindling, I was hoping I didn't ruin it. I didn't. I think this is my favorite of the trip.
