RULES:

1. Art work must have been completed within the last two years.
2. Art work must be completely your own original work.
3. Each piece of artwork must have a TITLE- “Un-named” or “Un-titled” is not acceptable.
4. Art work must be appropriate for a family-friendly event. No nudes, gory violence and/or obscene words may be depicted in the art piece or Title of the Entry.
5. Any given piece of artwork may ONLY receive a maximum of two (2) PLACE ribbons not including NON-qualifying Honorable Mentions.   Once it has received two (2) qualifying ribbons, it may NOT be entered in another show.  A PLACE ribbon would be ANY Best of Award, 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, & FIRST Honorable Mention (Regular Honorable Mentions are NOT place ribbons).
6. Once an artwork has received a 'best of' or first place ribbon, it may NOT be entered in another show.
7. Qualifying artworks may be entered only ONCE in an LSAG convention show.  Once a piece goes through a season, qualifies, and goes to the convention show, it may NOT be entered into another show ---league or convention--- ever again, not another year, & not another league's show.
8. LSAG members must also have their work entered in LSAG's database. The link is http://lsag.wspub.com/

NOTE: Categories I and J will be judged twice. Once for LSAG qualifying shows by a LSAG judge and again by a qualified 3D fine arts judge. The LSAG judge will judge all category J entries together and only 3 ribbons, first, second, and third, will be awarded to the category as a whole. The 3D arts judge will judge categories I and J but will judge each J subcategory separately. Meaning each subcategory will be awarded 3 ribbons apiece. As example subcategory J-C will receive a first, second and third place ribbon for work using the medium of clay. Each judge reserves the right to award honorable mention ribbons if the judge deems appropriate.

 

ENTRY FEES:

ALFB members: $40.00 for up to 4 entries, any entry after that is $6.00
Associate LSAG members: $40.00 for up to 4 entries, any entry after that is $6.00
Adult Non-members (Divisions I-IV): $40.00 for up to 4 entries, any entry after that is $6.00
Students (Division V only): $5.00 for up to 4 entries, any entry after that is $1.25

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS*:

Registration opens March 15th, 
Registration closes March 26th, at midnight, no exceptions
Judging  completed by April 9th at noon
Public viewing to begin April 10th at 10:00 am
Presentation of Awards with critques following  April 10th 1:00 pm
Judge Critiques April 10th, approximately 1:15 via zoom Details to be announced

PICK UP AWARDS / PRIZES: 

Winners of Best of Show, Community Choice awards and first place ribbons may display their work at the Fort Bend Art Center beginning Monday, April 12. Work will be displayed for a period of 2 weeks until Sunday, April 25th.  Panels/tables will be located in the center of the gallery space for this exhibit for you to place your art.  These winners may place their ribbons on their art work as well. Your art work must be picked up by Sunday, April 25.  Artwork picked up later than Sunday, April 25 will be available in the office area at the Fort Bend Art Center.

Winners of 2^nd, 3^rd and First Honorable Mention ribbons may pick up their ribbons Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 16-18, April 23-25, from noon to 4 at the front desk. There will be a check list on the desk for you to check off your name so that we know you have picked up your award.
