The image in this piece is painted with traditional glass paints that are fired in a kiln for permanence. The background pattern behind the skull is painted on a separate sheet of glass and plated behind the glass the skull is painted on. The border pattern is poppies that have been printed with glass powder using a screen and fired in the kiln. All the pieces were then assembled using traditional glass leading technique. "Remember you must die"...paradoxically seems like a call to life to me.
