Natures symphony

Natures symphony, Division V High School
Natures symphony
The motive behind my art piece is to conserve the magnificent monarch, the beautiful Texas wildflowers, and respect for the existence of nature. Someone who influenced my work is my teacher, Ms. Sue Roe who mentored me during my childhood. She helped me understand and learn about the beauty that exists in humanity and nature's wildlife. I learned to capture these marvelous images with my imagination, my mind helps me express the charm and existence of these splendid creations.
I used 4 pieces of jewelry wire as lines to represent the number of lines in a measure and direct the viewer around my artwork, dried flowers were used in measures as a representation of notes, twigs were used in my butterfly as the lines inside, pieces music sheets used to represent measures, my background is acrylic, my flowers painted are in oil, my hand is done in colored pencil, the carcass of a monarch butterfly found during the freeze is glued to the hand, posterboard is what I used as my surface to paint/draw on. For the butterfly I used stems and flowers, the butterfly makes music and is uplifting. I painted outside which helped me be one with nature. the measures are split to indicate the pauses of the butterfly, the lines of the music are connected with wire to show the music's travelling and flow. I used flowers in measures to indicate notes . The top measure has a time signature showing where the butterfly starts its song. There are hands at the corner, it's multicolored to represent anyone can care for nature regardless of backgroud. I used Texas wildflowers to hiighlight Texas' beauty.
